Craft Show returns

The 23rd annual Dover craft show was held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 A.M to 3 P.M. This year housed more vendors and visitors as last year’s craft show was canceled due to COVID-19. This year there were food trucks and more than one hundred vendors present.

District parent Michelle Wallace and the Dover Music Boosters organized this year’s craft show to help raise money for the Dover music department. It was a huge success, and it was even better than the last time it was held. Although the final totals of what the music department made isn’t in yet, many think that the total will go well beyond the total of $5000 that the music department made with the 2019 craft show.

The Dover Renaissance and Dover Brass Quartet performed at the craft show, giving the audience some holiday joy.

The Craft Show wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without the help of the Dover music department students who helped with set up on Friday, Nov. 18 and also the next day when the craft show was happening. They willingly offered to volunteer and help out because “They like to help others and some also felt like it would be a fun way to receive community service hours,” said band director George Bradshaw.
