On Friday, May 2, the girls’ softball team played its last game of the season at North Salem Elementary. The team played against Eastern York and finished the season with a win, bringing their record to 8-8 for the season.
Junior Morgan Moyer said they ended the season “on a good note,” with their last three games being ‘very positive’ for the team.
Sophomore Mackenzie Chronister commented on the end of the season, “[the team] had a losing streak for a while, and towards the end we really pulled through.”
The growth in teamwork and camaraderie over the season was one of the ways the team was able to come back and finish the season successfully. Both Chronister and Moyer reflected on how well the team was able to work together, especially since they have had all season to get to know each other and experience playing together. The group was able to remain positive and help each other until the end of the season.
Moyer shared how she is “looking forward to continuing our accomplishments through another year,” and she is determined to have another successful season.
Chronister also stated how she is looking forward to “building the team as a family” for the next season.
