Orange juice is better than apple juice. It is a superior juice.

Orange juice, also known as OJ, is a better drink for many reasons, starting with its health benefits. Orange juice is higher in vitamin C, folate, calcium, and potassium. Vitamin C is very good for the body, it helps protect your cells against the effect of free radicals, and it increases your blood antioxidant levels by 30%. This may not seem essential, but it’s very important. These reasons alone make it a better choice.

However, OJ also is better when it comes to the taste. Apple juice is more of a sweet drink which has been described as as homey feeling, which I agree with but not in a good way. I want my drink to make me feel refreshed. When I take a sip of orange juice, I can feel the freshness and the taste of newly squeezed oranges. It’s sour and sweet and makes my taste buds feel pleased.

Now let’s put the two side by side: Apple juice relaxes the body and soothes the digestive system, thanks to pectin, boron, and other compounds but that is all compared to orange juice. Orange juice is antioxidant-rich, relieves stress, and strengthens the immune system: natural vitamin C with raw flavonoids among others. If consumed at  bedtime, it can keep you awake, but then it’s a good sign of vitamin C deficiency. Once reserves are replenished, it can promote sound sleep.
