As an owner of a Honda, I think they are the best car company. They have great reliability and all around safe cars.
According to Acuranews.com, five vehicles made by Honda have been awarded “TOP SAFETY PICK from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.” Apart from reliability and safety, they are also very affordable.
I own a 2004 CR-V, I bought it for $3,000 off my neighbor. I’ve had very few issues with it. Additionally, they have a low maintenance cost. In the past three years of me owning one, I probably spent around $200 changing the oil every once in a while.
Hondas have a long lifespan as well. The website protectmycar.com states that, “A Honda will last 15-20 years if not more.” My 2004 CR-V is almost 20 years old with 120,000 miles on it, and there are never issues with it.
There are multiple Honda Vehicles that have surpassed 1,000,000 miles. According to roadandtrack.com, “The Honda Accord line is famous for its million mile durability…The latest documented million-mile car, a 2003 V-6 coupe.” They also go onto say, “More than 800,000 of those miles have been added to the car’s odometer since he started doing medical deliveries back in 2015.” They also stated it’s the “original engine” meaning the engine has survived over one million miles. Most cars with very high mileage need an engine swap.
Although there are benefits of owning a Honda, there are downsides. A lot of people believe that Hondas are bland and average looking. According to hotcars.com people believe that “cars like the base model Fit and the Civic aren’t attractive vehicles whatsoever.” This can be a real deal breaker for some people, but I personally don’t mind the look of Hondas. I think the simple base model designs of Hondas are pretty unique.
Therefore, I believe Honda makes great cars for reliability, affordability and even looks.
