Students put on High School Musical

John Bubb, Editor-in-chief

This weekend the Dover Drama Department will be presenting their reimagining of Disney’s “High School Musical”. The production is directed by Jamie Brandstadter and stars seniors Bobby Rep and Grace Carpenter as Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez respectively.

With only a few days left until opening night, Brandstadter had this to stay on the state of the production:  “I feel very good with where we are at right now. Pieces are coming together, and the students are working extremely hard. What I love the most is that they are putting in extra effort to make it the best it possibly can be. They have great attitudes towards the work and the production, and they help each other out a lot.” This positivity seems to be shared by cast and crew alike, with a number of students putting in extra hours for review and rehearsal just this past Sunday.

This year’s musical has more songs than any in recent Drama Department history, and it isn’t one you’ll want to miss! Opening night is this Friday, March 3, at 7 pm, followed by two shows on Saturday, March 4, at 2 pm and 7 pm, and a final performance on March 5, at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for students, and $8 for students and senior citizens.
