On Thursday, the Lady Eagles field hockey team put up a valiant fight against the Gettysburg Warriors. The field hockey team has been putting in tons of hard work throughout the entire season, and it has not gone unnoticed.

Despite their 0-2 loss this game, the Eagles had many individual and team highlights that deserve recognition. Junior goalie Caityn Laird remarked on the team’s commitment saying that, “We are definitely improving as a unit and today we worked hard and did our best.”

Throughout the game the team continued to put their best foot forward. On the defensive end they held the Warriors to only two points, thanks to Laird blocking three of their other shots.

The offense had many great shots after bringing the ball up the field and many corner shots. Sophomore Nena Menard said, “As a team, I always think we do well. We have very good teamwork and communication.”

After facing many challenging calls throughout the game the Eagles kept their heads high as a team, and intend to come out strong for their next game on Oct. 2 at home, starting at 10 A.M.
