The girls’ volleyball team lost to the Warriors of Gettysburg last night in a five set match.

Going into the match, senior captain Kelsey Hasson said, “their offense is solid, although our defense can be on top of that tonight.” As Hasson predicted, Dover put up a good fight in the first set, however, Gettysburg won that one. The second set was won by Dover 26-25.

The Eagles dominated the third set and beat Gettysburg 25-17. The Warriors rallied in the fourth, winning 27-25 and forcing a fifth set. The Warriors won that one, taking the match.

Junior Mickyle Looks said, “Overall I feel that during this game everything went pretty well! I think our offense and defense worked together nicely to put away some balls and score points.”

The Eagles fall to 0-5, while the Warriors move to 5-1. The next game will be September 21, 2021 at Dallastown. Hasson said, “the biggest challenge is keeping our heads up and not beating ourselves.”
